Back at it

Here I am, back in work. It feels like I never left.

It was a nice break of a few months, but I wonder if I will look back and feel like I _should_ have done something.

I dunno tho, I’m happy enough. It’s not nice at all having the company you work for get bought out, and basically realising you don’t mean shit to them.

Over a year later, and finally getting redundancy, I needed some time to recover.

It got me flying planes, which is awesome. Got me some headspace. Got me further into a fantastic relationship.

And now I’m… Back at. But with more perspective. It’s nice to enjoy work. But never ever forget them fuckers will get rid of you in a second if they want to!

clutter of the mind

Like sharpson stepping on jagged stones. Remove every as you find. Fuck the world, relax and exhale. Let the blood drain from your legs and get back to your brain.

Breath. Breeeeeeeeeeath.

Put signs on every room in your house, to make it a bit more exciting.

Take the moment to relax and write, create instead of consume. Perform.
Dance.

Imagine a few minutes time. It will come soon.

Improve your Zoom

Just a quick note, try playing some music in the background next time if you are in a zoom meeting (or teams or whatever). You can usually adjust the volume down low compared to the zoom audio. People on the call can’t here it on your headset, and it can really make the meeting nicer.

I like a bit of chill electro to add a bit of background noise. Try a cinematic score to liven up a boring meeting a bit 🙂

Quick story

Driving along a winding road, up the side of a hill.
It is deepening dusk, and the road curves upwards to the right.
The mountain side has some trees (pines) and short grass. It’s cold, maybe close to freezing.
The car is cold, the windscreen is still a small bit fogged.

The surface of the road changes to closely packed upturned feet, with little faces on the sole (just below the toes). They are all staring at you without speaking, as your tires loose grip on the shiny upturned flesh. Your car skids, careens across the road, and out over the edge of the abyss.

As the car starts tipping end over end, rapidly approaching the ground, all you can think of is the road made of upturned feet.

Father passed away

Father passed away there after a struggle with cancer.
I’m still in it, but how few people have contacted me to send condolences is mental. Is it cause I’m not on Facebook?
The people I work with, most of whom I have never even met in real life, sent the nicest messages.
My team has a great culture the kinda sucks people into it, it’s nice.
I’m still in it, and I guess this is my outlet for self indulgence…
